The Aquashield nozzle provides a flat fan or curtain of water to protect firefighters and equipment from radiant heat, smoke and flame. The lightweight, portable units are manufactured from aluminium and once placed on the ground, use the jet reaction of the discharge to hold the body in position.
When being used on major tank fires or similar, Aquashield units can be arranged to over-lap one another forming a continuous shield against heat and smoke. This can be used particularly effectively to cool adjacent installations and prevent them becoming engaged in tank farm fires for instance.
Available with standard 2” BSP threaded in-lets, the Aquashield is readily adaptable for use with any suitable coupling system.
